Today I applied for, and got accepted into, the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design’s Certificate Program in Photography. It’s a program designed to be completed in two to three years, and starts off with courses Drawing I and II, Design I and II, Digital Design, and Applied Color. I am excited about this because I am hopeful it will push further my creative eye and mind, so that when we get to actual photography courses, the creative juices will be flowing. The Program teaches skills such as Lightroom and Photoshop, studio lighting techniques, and professional practices for photographers. I am hoping to start my coursework in April.
In other news, today I bought my first photo printer. I selected the Canon imagePrograf Pro-310 Printer. It can make prints up to 13x19. I will have much more to day about this as I begin using it, presently with Canon pro photo paper.
